74HC166 8-bit Parallel-in Serial-out Shift Register

Description

The 74HC166 is an 8-bit parallel-in with serial-out shift register. The device also features serial-in and serial-out operation. For parallel-in operation, the parallel enable pin is dropped to low and the data at the parallel inputs is read into the shift register. When the clock enable pin transitions from low-to-high, the data is stored and on the following high-to-low transition, the data is then outputted at the serial output pin, on each clock cycle.
