The MAX764 is a high-efficiency, inverting
switching regulator for -5V, delivering up to 1.5W.
The IC combines a pulse-frequency-modulated (PFM) control scheme with the
benefits of traditional converters together with new pulse-width-modulated converter designs.
The MAX764 is highly efficient at heavy loads, yet because of the PFM design,
they require only 120µA of supply current.
