In this month’s Silicon Chip Electronics Magazine, we have a look at the new Broadband Radar for boating, this new technology offers greater accuracy and is available at a low price than conventional radar products. This article covers the basics of the design, how it can be used and the products available. Also this month a look at the new pcb design software from Altium, this latest version offers many improvements as well as the NanoBoard 3000 a FPGA hardware development platform.

This month’s projects include an easy to build Hearing Loop Level Meter, for use with the Hearing Loop System. An RFID Security system, which can be built cheaply and combined with an electronic look to implement an easy to use access system for your home or office. This month also includes the second part of the exciting new High Quality DAB+/FM Tuner Project, this allows digital radio reception, as well as standard FM broadcasts. Also the second part of the Ultrasonic Anti-Fouling Unit for boards, this article covers the installation with plenty of pictures and easy to follow instructions.
