In this month’s Silicon Chip Magazine, build a professional quality Appliance Earth Leakage Tester. This unit can be used to check the safety of earthed and double insulated equipment. Also the unit can be used when the equipment is powered by the mains. Ideal for servicemen, the unit provides a quick safety check of equipment to leaks to ground or faulty insulation.

Also this month, build a 2-Channel Balanced Input Attenuator for Audio Analysers and Digital Scopes. This unit can be used to extend the measurement capabilities of low cost USB test instruments like the QA400 Stereo Audio Analyser. It provides balanced/differential inputs for each channel in addition to unbalanced inputs, combined with three attenuation/measurement ranges of 1:1, 10:1 and 100:1. Finally, this month the third part of the Arduino Weather Station, this month build the receiver unit for receiving the various sensor signals and then sending them on to your pc, for display in the weather station software.
