This month’s articles, include an interesting look at an Australian manufactured Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's), the new Silvertone Flamingo. This lightweight UAV can travel at speeds of up to 144km/h and has a maximum ceiling of 4500m together with a flying time of up to seven hours. A fan is also included to ensure a fresh and accurate suply of air to the sensors mounted inside the unit. Also this month, a useful Dual Tracking Power Supply for your workbench. This professional looking unit, can deliver up to 1.6A and provides an accuracy of within 1% with a full digital display. Ideal for the project builder, this unit can be built with a AC Plugpack input, so no mains wiring is required. Finally this month, another project for the serviceman or electrical contractor, the Digital Insulation Meter is ideal for testing wiring, tools and other forms of insulation. The unit has a selectable test voltage and provides a digital readout of the insulation level. The unit is very easy to use and can be built in several hours. All projects come complete with circuit diagram and electronic parts list.
