Description
The BD179 Transistor is a
NPN medium power transistor used in audio amplifiers and speaker driver circuits.
The BD179 NPN Transistor is housed in a standard through-hole TO-126
plastic package. A lightweight aluminium heatsink can be fitted
to the transistor if required. The transistor has a power
rating of up 30W, with a maximum collector current of 3A.
The BD179 Transistor is a complementary pair to the BD180 PNP Transistor.
