Description
The 2N3055 Transistor is a vintage
high power NPN Transistor commonly used in power amplifiers.
This part has now been superseded and is not recommended for new designs.
The 2N3055 NPN Transistor is housed in a standard metal TO-3 package and is commonly
mounted on an aluminium heatsink for improved heat dissipation.
The transistor has a power rating of 115W, with a maximum collector current of 15A.
The newer MJ15015 NPN Transistor is a recommended replacement for this part.
