The exciting new range of dsPIC® parts from Microchip feature a powerful 16-bit Digital Signal Controller. This controller is designed for speed, with high instruction throughput, most instructions are performed in a single cycle, including 16-bit multiplication and looping instructions. The new dsPIC® range of high-performance microcontrollers open up a wide range of new applications, where a high degree of computation is required, combined with low power consumption, in a compact inexpensive microcontroller.

Our dsPIC30F2010 Development Board, combines the power of this microcontroller with a number of useful features for testing and developing your code for this new microcontroller. The board comes complete with the Microchip dsPIC30F2010 microcontroller pre-installed, together with the necessary crystal and power supply components, for a ready-to-run solution. Simply connect the power and download your program, using the easy to use programming interface and software, and your ready to start exploring the 16-bit world of DSPs.

Programs can be downloaded or updated directly to the microcontroller using the in-circuit programming interface. The standard 6-pin Microchip in-circuit programming connections are provided on the board, together with a RS232 connection for computer interfacing. Pushbuttons and LEDs are also included on our development board for testing and developing your code. Together with a number of trimpots for analog input and a speaker for sound output. A large breadboard area is provided for easy addition of test circuits and further program development.

This board is the ideal starting point for exploring the new 16-bit world of Digital Signal Controllers, featuring high performance in a miniature compact package.
